We only have one planet, and\u00a0<\/span>undeniably,\u00a0<\/span>looking after it is\u00a0<\/span>incredibly important.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some have said that the\u00a0<\/span>world has had a chance to reset itself somewhat due to the pandemic.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>There weren\u2019t as many\u00a0<\/span>people<\/span> jet-setting, road-tripping,<\/span>\u00a0or<\/span>\u00a0on a normal level, getting stuck in traffic on their way to work.<\/span><\/p>\n

As things have picked up again in recent years, traffic has returned to pre-pandemic level, and pollution is on the rise again too, but what can you do to play your part in protecting the environment?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t guessed, Monday<\/span>\u00a0April 22<\/span>nd<\/span> marks<\/span>\u00a0Earth Day; a day to take action and restore our planet.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are ten simple things you can do to help make your mark!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Turn the tap off when brushing your teeth. If you leave the tap running, you waste 4 gallons of water\u2026\u00a0<\/span>i<\/span>t\u2019s bad for the planet, and for your pocket.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Ditch the car \u2013 <\/span>g<\/span>et the bus, walk, run or cycle (if you can!)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Eat less meat<\/span>. Did you know that the meat industry is<\/span>\u00a0roughly equivalent to all the driving and flying of\u202f<\/span>every car, truck, and plane in the world<\/span><\/a>\u2026 Madness!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Recycle! An independent national survey found that 94% of UK adults claim to recycle plastic at least most of the time, but national recycling rates tell a different story.\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. Use smart meters to measure how much energy you\u2019re using and ways to cut back.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Save water on flushing your toilet with\u00a0<\/span>these<\/span><\/a>\u00a0helpful\u00a0<\/span>tips<\/span>!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Always take a reusable carrier bag with you when you go shopping.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Switch to glass boxes as opposed to plastic <\/span>t<\/span>upperware<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Ditch fast fashion for more ethical pieces, or better yet,\u00a0<\/span>buy second-hand.<\/span><\/li>\n
