Read aloud now available on the Kortext Mac app<\/h2>\n

Our December 2025 release focuses on mobile and desktop app enhancements.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Eagle-eyed Apple users\u00a0may have\u00a0noticed\u00a0that one of our features,\u00a0Read\u00a0aloud, is available on the browser and mobile apps but\u00a0was\u00a0not\u00a0previously\u00a0available on\u00a0the Mac desktop app\u2026\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Just in time for Christmas,\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0pleased to announce that the Mac app has joined the\u00a0Read aloud family and now has a dedicated text-to-speech feature, promoting accessibility and flexible learning for all\u00a0students.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mac users can now listen to their content in\u00a0two\u00a0different ways:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

><\/span>Chosen\u00a0areas of text<\/strong>: Click and drag your cursor to highlight text and click Read aloud from the pop-up menu.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

><\/span>Whole page<\/strong>: Select\u00a0Read aloud from the top toolbar to listen to your entire page from top to bottom.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the text is being read, a menu screen will appear so you can choose an alternative narrator and pause and play the reading as you wish.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As well as our Mac app updates,\u00a0we\u2019ll\u00a0also be making some minor adjustments to our iOS,\u00a0Windows\u00a0and\u00a0Android apps, including:<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n
