Kortext collaborates with Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, Microsoft and Instructure to leverage the best of artificial intelligence (AI), accelerating the path to hyper-personalisation in learning
London, 3 November 2025. Saïd Business School is partnering with Kortext, a leader in digital content and learning solutions, to embed advanced Al capabilities into the student learning management system, Canvas, as part of the Oxford Saïd’s continued acceleration of Al-enhanced teaching and learning.
The impetus for this new collaboration is driven by an initiative at Oxford Saïd to use data and Al to deliver personalised learning experiences and support the interaction between instructor and student. It will bring Al into course design, boosting engagement and streamlining workflows, to deliver enhanced student support and real-time insights into student engagement.
‘Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford has always been at the forefront of digital innovation in education. This collaboration with Kortext, Microsoft and Instructure represents the next major step in that journey — embedding trusted, secure, enterprise-grade Al directly into the learning experience. By integrating Al into Canvas at scale, we are empowering our faculty and learning designers to create smarter, data-driven courses and giving our students a more adaptive, hyper-personalised and engaging learning environment. This is a powerful example of how technology, used responsibly, can enhance teaching excellence, student success and the student experience.’ Mark Bramwell, Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO), Saïd Business School.
Oxford Saïd chose to partner with Kortext for its trusted Microsoft-based architecture, UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data residency compliance, and its unique ability to integrate engagement data with any large language model (LLM). Developed in collaboration with Microsoft, leveraging Microsoft Azure Al Foundry and Microsoft Fabric, the Kortext Al assistant enables institutions to interrogate both structured and unstructured data, visualise engagement patterns and deliver adaptive, hyper-personalised learning experiences.
The Kortext Al assistant will deliver real-time support across the learning journey by drawing on Oxford Saïd’s digital knowledge estate, including the Canto digital repository, institution websites, a Kortext library of course-relevant eBooks and educational videos, and Canvas course content, all within the secure ring-fenced Kortext fusion data environment.
