Last week (Friday 21st January), we attended the virtual AMBA & BGA Business School Leaders Summit where we had the opportunity to sponsor an Excellence Award for ‘Best Lifelong Learning Initiative 2022’ and connect with the Business School leaders of today.

The summit brought together Business School decision-makers and thought leaders from around the world who shared their insights on headline topics like innovation, sustainability, lifelong learning, and collaboration. The event, run jointly by the Association of MBAs and the Business Graduates Association, provided a unique global networking and learning opportunity that focused on unpicking trends and tackling challenges in the business school sector, and celebrating those leading the way.

Celebrating IE Business School (Spain)

The competition was fierce, but we were privileged to present the award for ‘Best Lifelong Learning Initiative 2022’ to IE Business School (Spain) for its ‘Turn It Around – Alumni Engagement’ project. The initiative, developed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, provided Business School students and alumni with a virtual toolkit of online learning, talks and resources to encourage and facilitate lifelong learning – a sentiment shared wholeheartedly by Kortext, whose platform offers students and academics easy access to eTextbooks and smart study tools to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

James Gray, CEO Kortext, said:

At Kortext, we are bold advocates for lifelong learning, so we’re delighted to have sponsored this award. At its heart, the award celebrates the initiatives that go beyond a single learning experience and inspire an ongoing search for knowledge.

Our congratulations goes to IE Business School for creating an invaluable learning resource for their students and alumni so they could continue to thrive during the pandemic.

A thirst for lifelong learning

During the event, Kortext also hosted a panel discussion with representatives from Oda, Lightsource bp and the World Health Organization (WHO), looking at the trends, skills and knowledge needed for leaders in business education to keep ahead. The conversation considered the importance of instilling a thirst for lifelong learning and how Business School leaders can lead the way for their students and communities.
