Kortext joins the Instructure Partner Program to bring content-led AI study support into Canvas
London, 16 July 2026 – Kortext, a global supplier of digital learning content and student engagement solutions, today announced it has joined the Instructure Partner Program, to support the integration of its AI assisted study app, Kortext IQ, into Canvas, helping higher education institutions deliver AI-powered study support grounded in trusted academic content.
Joining the Partner Program connects Kortext with Instructure’s global network of institutions and edtech partners, reinforcing Kortext as a trusted choice for institutions.
Unlike generic AI tools, Kortext IQ grounds its responses in the pedagogic structure of the course, linking to source content where available and permitted by publishers. This includes access to millions of journal articles, online learning resources and the university knowledge estate, helping institutions connect students to approved resources directly within the teaching and learning workflow.
Kortext IQ was co-built with Microsoft and first piloted at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, within their Canvas environment, as part of the business school’s initiative to introduce a safe, secure and pedagogically aligned AI assistant into their teaching and learning workflow. Kortext IQ continues to evolve through the partnership with Saïd Business School.
With tens of millions of educators and learners across the Instructure learning ecosystem, this partnership creates new opportunities for institutions to enhance digital learning by bringing course content and other trusted datasets, as well as AI-powered study support and learner engagement insights, into one connected environment.
For educators and learning teams, the integration supports more efficient access to course-aligned learning materials, including video lectures for students, helping to make academic support more relevant, discoverable and easier to access from within Canvas, while also offering governance, security and control for leaders and IT teams.
