Kortext ranks first across three APUC framework Lots, expanding digital content choice for Scottish universities and colleges

London, 10 July 2026 – Kortext, a global leader in digital learning and library solutions, has secured top rankings in the latest Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC) framework, placing first in three Lots and second in a fourth. The result cements Kortext’s position as a leading digital content provider for higher and further education institutions in Scotland.

First-place rankings were achieved in Lot 1 (titlebytitle purchase and collections), Lot 2 (titlebytitle purchase and collections (access on a thirdparty platform)) and Lot 4 (eTextbooks), with a secondplace ranking in Lot 3 (aggregated subscription packages).

‘We’re proud to have ranked first across three APUC Lots, a result that reflects both the breadth of our digital content provision and our understanding of how libraries acquire, manage and deliver content for their users.

Institutions don’t approach digital content in the same way, and our focus has always been on supporting that variation, whether through direct purchasing models, third‑party platform access or eTextbook provision.

For Scottish universities and colleges, this reflects our long‑term commitment to the sector and the institutions within it.’

Mark Edmondson, UK MD & COO, Kortext

The rankings are underpinned by a content offering designed to support institutions at scale, combining breadth of choice with integration into established library workflows.

Kortext’s catalogue spans more than 4 million titles from over 11,000 publishers, covering eTextbooks and digital monographs across every major discipline. Through integrations with library systems including GOBI, Rialto, and Talis Aspire, institutions can discover, acquire and manage digital content within their existing workflows.

Talis recently secured the highest technical ranking in the APUC framework, reinforcing the strength of the library technologies and services available to Scottish institutions through the agreement.

Kortext’s depth of provision is matched by the support behind it. Alongside its digital content offering, Kortext provides dedicated library support covering onboarding, fulfilment, pricing, workflow optimisation and ongoing account management, informed by regular engagement with library research groups.
