Discover our latest app updates
We’re delighted to announce that our AI assistant, Kortext IQ, is now available across all four mobile apps giving students at participating institutions the ability to use it wherever and whenever they like. We’re also improving how users can access and read their resources.
These updates help to:
- Give access to Kortext IQ wherever a user may be, and on any device.
- Improve accessibility and reading support.
- Strengthen reliability across the apps.
Kortext IQ now in all our apps
The standout update for this month is the introduction of Kortext IQ across all our apps (where IQ is enabled by an institution). Students can now access Kortext IQ directly from iOS, Android, Windows and Mac apps, making AI-powered study support available wherever they learn.
Whether they’re looking for help understanding a concept, finding information across their reading or exploring a topic in more depth, students can ask questions on any device they’re using. Kortext IQ works both from the bookshelf, where it can draw on their available content, and from within the eReader, where it can provide support based on the text they’re viewing.
Every response is backed by references to trusted academic sources, helping students quickly move from answers to evidence and encouraging deeper engagement with their course materials.
By bringing IQ directly into the apps students already use every day, this update makes it faster and easier to access trusted, evidence-based academic support whenever and wherever it’s needed.

We’ve also included a range of additional fixes across the apps, including:
- On iOS devices, PDFs can now be read as a continuous scroll.
- On Windows, the Reader has now moved to the latest Native Reader.
- General updates across apps to improve book loading, downloads, notes, navigation, accessibility and overall stability.
