StREAM 4.8 is here!

Following thorough feedback from our customers, we have been working hard to pack our platform with enhanced features that drive the usability of the StREAM interface to make it easier for institutions to find and address the students who need extra support.

In our latest exciting release, we introduce two all-new features called tiered alerts and automatic exemptions as well as adding enhancements to pre-existing features including new config console filters, enhanced navigation and design updates, new engagement-based sorting and widened reach of our translate function.

Watch our video to discover our latest enhancements before diving into the details below.

Enhanced tiered alert system for better student support

Our first exciting new feature provides users with a method of categorising students based on repeated longer-term reduced engagement triggers. Students advance through tiers based on preset indicators of consistent low engagement.

At each tier, administrators can customise email templates that will be sent to the student to check in and encourage them to seek support or to re-engage in their studies. If students reach the set maximum tier, a final escalation email will be released to the student.

If students re-engage in their studies, consistent alerts mean their alert tier will automatically be reset to tier one. If you wish for a continual increase in alerts without a reset, choose to create an inconsistent alert.

Choose between tiered (customised and increasing in urgency) or standard (same repeating notification) when setting up your alert and filter between each in your interaction page, learning journey map and student profile. Stay on top of student engagement by creating custom alert reports to track and analyse alert tiers in your cohort.

Our tiered alert system supports universities in their efforts to proactively identify and address at-risk students, reducing the need for manual intervention and driving improved student outcomes.

Streamlined automation for student exemptions

In our second all-new feature, save time and administrative workload at your institution by simplifying the ingestion of high-volume student exemptions from third-party applications.

Build custom feeds that proactively validate all student exemption data before its import to drive data accuracy at your institution.

The ability to manually input exemptions still exists and you can filter your reports to easily distinguish between automatic and manual inputs.

Exciting enhancements to the configuration console

Enjoy improved flexibility within the StREAM config console with our newly introduced edit, enable, disable, delete and reorder buttons, so with just a click you can customise your settings, streamline your workflows and manage configurations to pull more meaning from your data.

Inside the config console, the email template and help topic pages have been restyled to better coordinate with the design and usability of other areas of the StREAM platform.

Not only does this look great, but it also enhances readability and intuitive navigation around the platform.

Enhancements in the StREAM 4.8 release include tiered alerts and automatic exemptions.

More StREAM 4.8 enhancements include:

  • The introduction of engagement-based sorting in ‘My students’. Order students by average engagement from low-high or high-low, so support can be focused on the students who need it the most.
  • Dark mode enhancements promote the visibility of signposts for dark mode users when creating interventions, purging student data, checking your calendar, and exploring the learning journey map in StREAM.
  • Wider reach of the translate function to the engagement rating labels, customised labels, calendar and custom chart legends allow wider accessibility to multilingual StREAM users.
  • Newly customisable footer logo so institutions can reinforce their brand identity in StREAM for a more personalised user experience.
  • Upgraded time zone handling that drives the accuracy of alert suppression and feed scheduling across different time zones.
  • Navigation and design updates across StREAM including the addition of a back button in the FAQs page for an improved user experience.
