Kortext catalogue now discoverable in GOBI from EBSCO, expanding choice and flexibility for library eBook acquisition

London, 1 June 2026 – Kortext, a leading academic library supplier, today announced that its extensive perpetual access eBook catalogue is now available within GOBI Library Solutions from EBSCO (GOBI), giving libraries greater flexibility in how they source and acquire digital content.

The addition of the Kortext catalogue to GOBI comes at a time of significant change across the library sector. As institutions review established acquisition models and adapt to an evolving procurement landscape, Kortext is focused on supporting libraries with choice, continuity and control over how they work.

Through the GOBI integration, libraries can now select Kortext content within a familiar ordering environment, helping to streamline workflows and support more efficient collection development.

The integration also expands access to Kortext’s growing catalogue of more than 3.5 million titles from more than 10,500 global publishers.

‘We recognise that libraries are navigating a complex and changing environment. Our focus is on providing choice, whether that’s enabling continuity through established systems like GOBI, or supporting new and evolving workflows through Kortext acquire. It’s about giving libraries the flexibility to work in the way that suits them best.’

James Gray, CEO, Kortext

“Libraries rely on GOBI Library Solutions to simplify book acquisition and bring together a wide range of publisher offerings. Making Kortext titles available for libraries through GOBI expands choice for libraries and supports efficient, centralized purchasing.”

Jon Elwell, Senior Vice President of Books at EBSCO Information Services

The addition of the Kortext catalogue to GOBI reflects a shared commitment to helping libraries navigate evolving acquisition needs with greater choice, efficiency and access to academic content. Kortext remains committed to close collaboration with library partners – delivering solutions that balance stability with innovation and ensuring seamless access to content, whatever route libraries choose.
