Kortext partners with Rialto, expanding access to digital content for libraries

London, 24 November 2025 – Kortext and Rialto are delighted to announce their partnership, bringing millions of new digital titles into the Rialto marketplace. This move will provide libraries with more choice, greater flexibility and seamless acquisition via Rialto’s new referral model.

Through this collaboration, libraries will gain easy access to Kortext’s 3.5 million monographs and textbooks. Kortext is Rialto’s first eTextbook platform and this development is in direct response to feedback from library partners seeking diverse models to support their needs.

Kortext has been a trusted partner to libraries for over a decade, offering a comprehensive catalogue of digital content through a wide range of licence models. Its market-leading study platform gives learners an accessible, customisable reading experience, with analytics for institutions to support data-driven decision-making and enhance student engagement.

Rialto empowers libraries with a centralised, vendor-neutral marketplace that streamlines collection development and acquisition. Its integrated workflows enable informed decisions, cost-effective access and seamless end-to-end fulfilment. The new referral model enables direct engagement with provider platforms for efficient and enhanced content acquisition.

‘We are excited to partner with Clarivate’s Rialto team to broaden eBook acquisition solutions for current and future Rialto customers covering perpetual access eBook titles while bringing advanced study tools and sophisticated analytics into mainstream library supply to improve both the library and the learner user experience.’
Mark Edmondson, UK Managing Director & COO at Kortext.

‘This collaboration highlights Clarivate’s dedication to broadening the Rialto marketplace and delivering innovative solutions to our users. I’m so excited to welcome Kortext to the marketplace, both as an additional aggregator representing some 10,000+ publishers and over 5m eBooks & videos and also as our first eTextbook platform.’
Jeff Anusbigian, Vice President of Product Management at Clarivate.

This new partnership between Kortext and Rialto reflects a shared commitment to providing libraries with the broadest range of digital content that delivers value for money and offers flexible solutions to meet each institution’s specific learning, teaching and research needs.
