By bringing together leaders, educators, librarians and digital learning specialists, we create opportunities for open discussion, shared learning and constructive challenge that inform our thinking, product development and future direction.
What are the Kortext advisory groups?
Through these advisory groups, we’re able to engage with professionals across different areas of higher education. Members represent institutions across the sector, including the University of Manchester, University of Bath, University of East London and Middlesex University, among others, bringing a diverse range of perspectives and expertise to the conversation.

While each group has a distinct focus, they share a common purpose: ensuring that the voices of higher education practitioners are reflected in the ongoing development of Kortext products, services and future direction.
Bringing higher education perspectives together
Higher education is a complex environment, with different teams working together to support learning, teaching and student success. While these groups share common goals, they often bring different perspectives to the same challenge.
A librarian, academic and senior institutional leader will naturally approach issues from different angles, shaped by their roles, responsibilities and priorities. Each perspective offers valuable insight into different aspects of the institutional experience, helping to build a more rounded understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
For Kortext, those conversations provide important context around the feedback we receive, helping us make more informed decisions about future developments.
Turning feedback into action
The value of advisory groups lies not only in the conversations themselves, but in what happens afterwards.
Meetings provide opportunities for members to engage directly with Kortext teams through product feedback activities, testing sessions and live demonstrations. These sessions give participants early visibility of developments across the platform while providing a forum to share feedback, highlight challenges and help directly inform future development priorities.
Beyond product updates and roadmap discussions, advisory groups explore emerging trends and issues shaping higher education. Topics such as AI, accessibility, digital learning and student engagement frequently form part of wider discussions about the future of the sector.
To encourage open discussion and honest feedback, Kortext Library Advisory Group (KLAG) is independently moderated. Members are encouraged to share experiences from their own institutions, creating opportunities for peer learning and knowledge exchange and helping to bring a broad range of perspectives into the conversation.
We also regularly welcome guest speakers, who bring additional expertise and perspectives on topics affecting learning, teaching, library services and the wider higher education landscape.
