Discover our latest updates
As part of our June release, we’re introducing Demand-Driven Acquisition (DDA) to Kortext acquire, providing institutions with a flexible way to provision content, directly aligned with real usage.
DDA management enables librarians and acquisitions teams to create curated collections of titles that are discoverable by students, without requiring upfront purchase. This helps broaden access to content, while maintaining control over how collections are built and managed.
These updates help to:
- Expand access to a wider range of content without immediate commitment
- Align acquisitions more closely with actual student demand
- Support more flexible and efficient collection development workflows
Where you’ll see these updates
DDA Manager
The new DDA Manager section allows you to search, filter and curate titles into DDA collections.

Refine your search using a range of filters including publisher, subject, format, language and price, helping you quickly identify relevant content for your institution.
You can also upload pre-selected title lists to streamline collection creation.
Collections
The Collections area inside the DDA Manager provides a central view of your DDA collections.

From here, you can:
- Review your collections
- Track their status from draft to active
- Make edits while collections remain in draft
Once a collection is active, its titles become available to students through your institution’s library.
Currency Availability
Please note that DDA management currently displays prices in GBP (£) only. Additional currencies will be supported soon.
DDA must be enabled on your account before you can use it. To enable this, please raise a support ticket by contacting our support team.
